Editors’ concert at Citadel Festival is less than a week away. All Tomorrows Parties is delighted to raffle two tickets for next Tuesday’s concert. They are currently on tour to promote their self produced record entitled In Dream.

It came out last October on PIAS Recordings. It has been ten years since their debut album The Back Room hit the radio waves and rocketed them into indie fame. Editors have since moved on.

With former guitarist Chris Urbanowicz quitting the band back in 2012, singer Tom Smith has had to assume most if not all of the creative responsibilities. The end result is terribly exciting.

Obscure guitar hooks, catchy pop instrumentation and Tom Smith’s deep vocals

After a small dip in performance following their second album An End has a Start – and a disappointing fourth album entitled The Weight of Your Love – Editors have straightened their act and moved on. This record is proof the band has taken its time to regenerate and go back to what enabled the Brits to achieve cult status in the mid 2000s. Obscure guitar hooks, catchy pop instrumentation and Tom Smith’s deep vocals all feature on the record. This time around though, they’ve added synthesisers to the melodic section in order to expand their sound even more. They’ve embarked on a summer festival tour and Citadel is on the list.

Scottish indie rock band Frightened Rabbit will be opening for them. Led by brothers Scott and Grant Hutchison, their latest album Painting of a Panic Attack was produced by the National‘s Aaron Dessner.
