A renowned city for electronic music parties and indie concerts, Berlin also has a bubbling acoustic music scene. Melodica Festival is coming through Berlin to finish off this year’s season.
Up-and-coming artists are given a live platform to play their music in cosy atmospheres. Started in Melbourne back in 2007, it has developed into a global event, generally focusing on acoustic, folk and singer-songwriter music.
Two “special secret” guests will only be known on the first day of Melodica Festival Berlin
Berlin is holding its sixth edition over two days, the 3 and 4 September. The program has 14 international and local artists and/or musicians performing over two days in Birgit & Bier. Presently, only twelve out of fourteen names have been disclosed. Two “special secret” guests will only be known on the first day of the festival.
It is an opportunity for like-minded artists to connect and network. The Melodica network has actually been held in thirteen locations around the world. This year for example, the festival will go through New York, Nottingham, Aarhus, Reykjavik, Oslo before the grand finale in Berlin. Entry is donation based and from 4pm to 10pm.
