On the October 18th, Sekuoia will finally visit our great city of Berlin! Hosted at Prince Charles, there’s no doubt he’ll bring some of the magic from his newest album ‘Flac’. Even better, we have four FREE tickets to give away to our readers.

This is one for all of our readers who can’t get enough of electric music. Hailing from Denmark, Patrick Alexander Bech Madsen, is better know as the music producer ‘Sekuoia’. If I have a criticism of electro music, it’s that sometimes it can seem a bit sterile. For this reason, I was hesitant to listen to all of Sekuioa’s tracks to write this preview – but I shouldn’t have been

A clash of antithesis

Within ten minutes of listening to Sekuoia’s Soundcloud, I’m impressed. I worried that this would be another dubstep clone. I worried it would bring nothing new. There wasn’t any need to worry. The music is unmistakably inspired by dubstep but it’s much more than that. There’s an indie edge to his music and it’s not often I think that about electro. You get the dope backing and suddenly you’re also getting hit with instrumental and vocal sections – Say what?!

Tripping without the drugs

Put all of this together and you get something close to a visual trip, as his music drags you down the rabbit hole. If music could pick up a paintbrush and ink your psyche, this is what it would feel like. I’m not even making this up – a quick search for Sekuoia and visual image brings up a music video that he made with the amazing Yoshi Sodeoka. I’ve attached the link to the bottom of this article so you can see for yourself. Don’t just take my word for it – with more than 14k followers, I’m not the only one who can’t wait to see him perform in Berlin.

He’s toured all over Europe and collaborated with artists like MØ and Tomas Barfod, so it’s only right that he should visit his most prestigious city yet. Normal tickets are priced at 17.60 and can be purchased: HERE! Yup, that’s right – indieBerlin has teamed up with Factory92 and has two pairs of free tickets to give away for this amazing event! To win, all you have to do is write to us at ‘win(at)All Tomorrows Parties.de’ , or comment below this article. We’ll select two people at random and the tickets are yours!
